GI Solutions Group acquire Eclipse Group

GI Solutions Group are delighted to announce that they have acquired Eclipse Colour Print, Eclipse 4DM and Direct Link for an undisclosed sum. This is in line with the company’s desire to be the UK’s leading integrated marketing communications business.

“This is a fantastic result for all concerned “said CEO Patrick Headley “we have admired what Simon and the team have achieved for a long time and are absolutely delighted we can now all work together and create an enlarged group with a greater product offering. The synergies are very strong and the whole team at GI are very excited about the future”

All the companies will continue to trade on their existing sites and under their current identities and the plan is to see the business grow over the next few years. Simon Moore has joined the GI Solutions Group main board and will continue in his role as Managing Director of the Kettering sites.

“I am delighted to be working with GI Solutions Group” said Moore “as a business we have come a long way since we started the company but this will give both our customers and ourselves many more options moving forward”

The combined group will have a large product range from Data Services, through DM and Transactional Services to Commercial Print with a combined turn-over of around £80m.

“This ticks a number of boxes for the Group and we are delighted to have Simon joining the board” continues Headley “we had strong growth aspirations when we completed the MBO last March and we will continue to grow in this manner as well as organically. We plan to evolve the 4DM plant into a fully digital operation that will give the group a very robust disaster recovery plan”

As well as this investment GI are currently completing installation of a T490 digital press as well as a fully variable finishing line. The group have also appointed Sotos Constantinides as their new Chief Finance Officer in December 2016.
